I = V/R
If you know this formula, you can pretty much can do anything with electronics. It's the basis for all electronics and electrical calculations. If you remember this, you can figure out what size resistor to pair with an LED, how to control the speed of a motor, how to build a power supply, and more. There are three main variables in electricity, (I) current (amps), (V) voltage (volts) and (R) resistance (ohms).
There's also a 4th element, (P) power (watts).
P = V*I
P = R*I2
P = V2/R
V = R*I
V = P/I
V = √P*R
R = V/I
R = V2/P
R = P/I2
I = P/V
I = V/R
I = √P/R

A capacitor (originally known as condenser) is a passive two-terminal electrical component used to store energy in an electric field.
diode.jpg [ 2.44 KiB | Viewed 4474 times ]
a diode is a two-terminal electronic component with an asymmetric transfer characteristic, with low (ideally zero) resistance to current flow in one direction, and high (ideally infinite) resistance in the other; like a a check valve.
